Membership in the Theatre Alliance of Louisville, not only strengthens your theatre company's presence in our community, but strengthens Louisville's theatre community as a whole. 

Membership Dues
Membership dues are paid on an annual basis.  Dues for a theatre company are $50, for an individual they are $35.  Dues cover the cost of membership benefits. Deadline to join TAL for the 2012-2013 season is August 15th.

Becoming a Member
To become a member, you will need to complete two forms, the TAL Letter of Commitment and the Member Information form.  Dues are made payable to Theatre Alliance of Louisville.  Please send completed forms and dues to:

Benefits of Membership
  • A TAL member receives advertising and other support from the group.
  • A TAL member receives some publicity for their performances and events on TAL-produced playbill inserts and blog.
  • A TAL member is entitled (but not obligated) to participate in TAL-sponsored unified auditions, joint performances, and fundraising events.
  • A TAL member has the opportunity to participate in sharing selected props, costumes, scenery, and space with other members.
  • A TAL member is invited to participate in social and networking gatherings, and to be a full member of Louisville’s theatre community.
Membership Requirements
  • A TAL member is a theatre company or an individual committed to producing theatre in Louisville. 
  • A TAL member makes an effort to attend each meeting, or to send another representative.  
  • When unable to attend, a member takes responsibility for keeping up with events and contributing to ongoing discussions.
  •  A TAL member displays the TAL calendar of events at their own performances. Often, this means using the TAL playbill insert, but it can also mean displaying the calendar in the lobby during performances. 
  • A TAL member mentions TAL or uses the logo on all new printed materials (including programs, postcards, posters, and advertisements) except when prohibited by cost or other limitations. 
  • A TAL member mentions TAL or uses the logo in press releases.A TAL member makes an effort to attend performances by other members. 
  • A TAL member company pays annual dues of $50.  An individual member pays $35.  These funds pay the cost of the benefits listed below.
